International pipers festival and international contest for young pipers

 

The festival is accompanied with an educational activity for folklorists and folk instrumentalists primarily from V4 countries and from other EUcountries.In his literary aims to present original and traditional musical expressions,searching for new forms and possibilities of interpretation,to debate and creative meetings.Meets the educational message in organizing workshops-school on bagpipes,intergenerational transmission of educational concerts and in the international contest for young pipers. First target group are the bagpipers and other musicians playing a traditional musical instruments - 120 persons, primary young bag-pipers (International contest for young bag-pipers, workshops), the specialist for the folk music and the funs of the traditional folk music - 50 persons. Second target group are children of the primary schools - 500 childrens (concerts) and the wide public - 1500 persons (concerts in Slovakia and Poland, galaprogram...). Gajdovačka festival is a platform that in itself organically combines different types of programs directed at several target groups. The festival is a place of creative confrontation of cultures, not only the V4 countries, but also Italy, Austria, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Croatia and the Netherlands. The importance of the project is in finding traditional cultural symbols.
